Pareidolia Goes Global!

I've decided to expand the blog a bit. The BookBlog will stay put--same link and all that--but stuff like the blogs list will migrate over to the main site to get rid of some of the clutter.

The main site will be devoted to the standard blogger stuff--random thoughts, rants, and all that. But the main thing will be music: a Song of the Day, a Riff of the Day (bass or guitar, with TAB notation), a rip on some particularly stupid country song I heard at work. Bad jokes.

Get over there and have a look, you four!

I wanted to ask what in the world goody-goody whitebread rock is, since to me "whitebread" = Leave It To Beaver, and I don't assiociate any sort of rock with the Cleavers, but it's not possible for me to leave a comment there.

Oops, forgot the -- LR for that first one.

You're the only one who ever comments--I knew it hadda be you.

To me, "whitebread" rock is the safe, boring lightweight stuff all the "adult contemptible" stations play as "light mix." A more modern version of the "feel good" oldies.

PS--comments are enabled over at Global now.

The java script is causing problems, and despite permitting cookies and generally loosening every possible security setting, it still won't show the verification word, so I don't get to criticize your critcism of NPR, alas.

About the "whitebread rock" comment, you remind me of something I heard (and often repeat) about New Age music, that it's for people who find elevator music too intellectually stimulating. -- LR

I killed off the picture thing on both blogs; since there's no traffic there shouldn't be a problem.

Once I get famous, though...
